jobs
so, i'm looking for work. and i'm open for advice.
I have some interest from the following companies, and I'd be interested in any feedback anyone has on what it's like working for these companies. Can you recommend one above another?
- AT&T Wireless - AOL Mobile - Microsoft (Office team, mostly) - Whitepages.com - eProject - eCopy - ClearWire
All in the general Seattle area.
Oh, and in my work life, I'm basically a Product Manager / Marketing / Business Manager-Planner / Strategy person in software. I'm not a developer (although I have written some code in past lives), and I'm not a straight MarComm guy. More of a Product Manager / Program Manager type.

process theology
so, it's nearly midnight here in Minnesota. Just came back from a whirlwind tour of Disney's magical kingdom, courtesy of my parents in California. Kids loved it. Me, not so much. For reasons that I won't have to get into, as Mr. Grumpy here has already done so, with some passion. Anyway, so I'm here, back in cold Minnesota. Which is not as cold as snowy Seattle tonight. but I'm writing in my little LiveJournal for the first time in ages, because I have a monstrously huge paper on Process Theology that is kind of due... um, last week. So I'm frantically working on it. I'll probably be up half the night, or until dawn breaks, or something. Process Theology is strange stuff, and at 1 a.m., it's even more obtuse than usual. So wish me luck, friends, I'll be here for awhile. | | Sunday, July 16th, 2006 | | 11:47 am |
sittin' on the couch with Ross
Lately, we've been missing our friends on the West Coast horribly, and we've kept in pretty good touch with some of them online, via e-mail, blogging, and other virtual connections. However, there's nothing like being really physically present. So, almost one year after moving to Minnesota, our good friend -- and Nick's godfather -- ross_teneyck is in the house! Now I'm sittin' on the couch, bloggin' at Ross, as (I think) he's bloggin' at me. Go figure. All these miles of jet fuel, so we can sit side by side, and go online, on my wireless network. The modern world rocks! | | Saturday, July 1st, 2006 | | 11:40 am |
Mississippi
We went swimming in the Mississippi. (see picture below) Only later did we discover how polluted the river has become in recent years. God this was dumb -- although lots of fun. Ah well... lesson learned. |
